Oct. 6, 2011 - PRLog -- I am very excited to announce this new partnership between The Wilmette Theatre and Annoyance Theatre, Chicago. It's a partnership between a 98 year old movie theatre in the suburbs (doing live events now for the past 5 years), AND a 24 year old Chicago theatre known for subversive, edgy, provocative original theatre....

The initial production will be "Co-Ed Prison Sluts", the longest running musical in Chicago on Oct. 12th at 8pm and followed by Susan Messing, one of the country's top improvisers in "Messing With A Friend" on Nov. 16th at 8pm.

In 2012 The Wilmette Theatre will be presenting an Annoyance production every other month.

We are looking forward to having everyone "GET ANNOYED IN WILMETTE!"......

Interviews, press passes available. Thanks again for helping get the word out. Best, Nili

The Wilmette Theatre announces a new partnership with Chicago's renowned Annoyance Theatre.......

Wilmette, a North Shore suburb known for it upper class population, top-rated schools, and tony shops, will get down-and-dirty when Chicago's Annoyance Theatre -- renowned for it inventive, yet edgy shows -- crosses the border to present its flagship show, "Co-Ed Prison Sluts"

This suburban trek is just one gutsy move on the part of Jennifer Estlin, the Annoyance Theatre's president, executive producer, and owner. In these roles, she's pushing Chicago's bad boy of comedy and improvisation in new directions.
The production  -- considered lewd, but very funny -- will run one night only, Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, 8 pm, at The Wilmette Theatre, 1122 Central Ave, Wilmette, IL. 847-251-7424.  And on Nov. 16, it brings Susan Messing and her "Messing With A Friend" to the same fancy North Shore suburb.

About "Co-Ed Prison Sluts"
"Co-Ed Prison Sluts" originally opened in April 1988 at Annoyance's first home on Broadway in Chicago. It then ran every weekend until June of 2000. It re-opened in 2008 in celebration of the Annoyance's 20th anniversary, and continues today at 4830 N. Broadway, which makes it Chicago's longest running musical.
"Co-Ed Prison Sluts" follows the prison's newest inmate, Alice, as she learns the ropes from the other inane inmates including Hamster Man, The Dame, Skeeter, Slick, Henry, and Dr. Bellows and his dog Fluffy. And she learns the number one rule - to fear the dreaded Clown.
With hit songs such as "Hey We're in Prison", "Sh*t, M*ther-F*cker", and "The Dog is Eating my Hamster Now", the show is not typical Wilmette fare and definitely not for children or the easily offended. Wilmette Theatre management is looking forward to expanding its roster and drawing audiences from other North Shore suburbs who likely have heard of the show, but were disinclined to travel to Chicago to see it.
If you'd like to interview Estlin or Napier, or see any of the shows at the Annoyance, I'd be pleased to make that happen. Meanwhile, for more information, you can check its website: www.annoyanceproductions.com.

Interviews, press passes available. Thanks, Nili
