On-line parts shop generates worldwide sales for Jennings Motor Group

Oct. 5, 2011 - PRLog -- Jennings Motor Group, which operates Ford, Mazda, SEAT and Kia dealerships across Teesside, Wearside and Tyneside, set up the Ford parts website in 2008.  

The on-line shop offers a comprehensive range of ‘Ford Dealer’, ‘Ford Approved’ Genuine Ford Parts which are in stock and ready for immediate delivery.  On-line shoppers can also take advantage of a selected range of non-specific car parts and accessories.  

Nicky Dalkin, operations director for Jennings Motor Group, said; “We wanted to extend our parts service facility to a wider audience and our IT department came up with the idea of utilising the internet and launching a website, which was the perfect platform for us to use in order to reach a massive worldwide audience.”

The website generates more than 20,000 hits per month with 17,094 from the UK, 2035 worldwide and 1421 from across Europe.  

To date, Jennings Ford has despatched products to Australia, Japan, the United States, Romania, Russia, Yugoslavia, India and the Caribbean island of Barbados.  

Topping the sales chart for popularity with more than 100 items being despatched to customers per month, is a product manufactured by Thule, which allows you to securely attach bicycles to vehicles for safe transportation.

Group parts purchasing manager, Dave Garth, is responsible for operating and controlling the website from the group’s Ford dealership based on Yarm Road in Stockton, Teesside.

Dave Garth, said; “Since the website was set up, we have been forging working relationships with customers from all nationalities, the majority of whom, have used our services on more than one occasion.  The site has been a phenomenal success.”

Dave added; “We have one particular customer who runs an ice cream factory in Barbados who regularly orders parts from us to keep his fleet of Ford Transit vehicles on the road which he uses to deliver his ice cream.”
