Author sells over 3,500 e-books per month from prison on Amazon.com!

Urban fiction writer David Weaver found success in federal prison from an unlikely ally: Amazon.com. With no advertising, his books became classics within his genre and created a cult following. He credits the sales to social sites and word of mouth.

Oct. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- When author David Weaver wrote the cult classic Bankroll Squad back in 2007, he had no idea how he was going to get the word out about it. He was in his first year of a 4 year federal prison sentence and was feeling down and out. By June 2010, however, other self published authors such as J.A. Konrath had began to make newspaper headlines. It was one of these headlines that caught David Weaver's attention.
Immediately, he called his wife and had her to upload his material to see if he could sell a few copies. By the time he was released from prison a year and 2 months later, he had a dedicated fan base that almost made it look like he had been in the streets promoting nonstop.
His follow up to his first title was released in the month right  before his prison release, and his fan base helped to propel that title to the Multicultural Romance Bestsellers chart on Amazon.com, where it has remained in the Top 20 since its debut. It has surpassed the likes of many of the major writers with large publishing companies behind them.
David Weaver has four titles available on Amazon. His latest, "Me and My Bitch" spent an entire week ranked in the top 500 overall on Amazon.com, eventually peaking out at #301 overall; competing with the likes of Dan Brown, Ken Follett, Dean Koontz, and Lee Childs.
He has been receiving contract offers from various major companies, but he gave no indication whether he was going to accept an offer or not. You can download one of his books by clicking this link: http://www.amazon.com/A-Love-Story-ebook/dp/B004T4LHBY/re...
