Lion Brewery Oktoberfest is Back in 2011. This Time Indoors at Genetti's!
This event celebrates the award winning Oktoberfest brew and brings the entire community together to celebrate indoors at Genettis with featured beer, German food, entertainment and community pride for this nationally recognized brewery.
"O'zapft is!", the clarion call of beer lovers everywhere - "lt's tapped!" celebrates the beginning of three days of drinking and revelry at the Oktoberfest on Wednesday, October 12th at 5 PM. Wednesday will be the "traditional celebration"
On Wednesday evening the event admission includes a drink and food package which is S20 in advance and S25 at the door - which includes a mug for refilling your beer throughout the night, unlimited beer, and unlimited wieners with sauerkraut, warm German potato salad and sweet n sour cabbage Thursday evening, October 13th - the
Oktoberfest celebration continues with a featured concert by the national recording artist, John Waite. The evening hours are doors at 5 PM with all drafts at $1 a draft and all food items $2 to $5. Traditional Oktoberfest music will be played throughout the evening and then the opening act is Flaxy Morgan for John Waite. John Waite has many rock hits through the years with the Babys, Bad English and his solo career. Hits include "Missing You", "When I See You Smile", "lsn't lt Time", "Every Time I Think of You", "Change", "Back On My Feet Again" and many more. John Waite will play for ninety (90) minutes with his full band. Admission for the entire evening 5 PM - 11PM is $25 in advance and $35 at the door.
Friday evening is the Rocktoberfest with all the area top rock bands as entertainment. Starting with M-80 at 5:30, 40 lb head, Wood Brown Project and Flaxy Morgan playing throughout the evening with doors at 5 PM. What a great happy hour evening which lasts until 11 PM. The same package will be offered as on Wednesday evening. All the other food and festival treats are $2 to $5. Besides featuring the Lion Brewery beers-a special release of the Pumpkin Ale will be from 7 til 8 PM.
A three day pass is offered for $50. All attendees must beover 21-and Genetti's reserves the right to refuse anyone service that is visibly intoxicated. Responsible drinking is a must and proper lD is strictly enforced.
