Cookies with Mrs. Claus 2011 at Barrington Hall in Roswell, GA

Oct. 2, 2011 - PRLog -- It wouldn't be Christmas without decorated sugar cookies, but sometimes with all the holiday hustle and bustle, shopping, tree-trimming, parties, etc., holiday baking gets set aside. And if you've ever made and deocrated cookies with 5-year olds, it can be a lesson in supreme patience! Let Mrs. Claus do the baking... and the cleanup, as you and your children join her in the demonstration room of historic home Barrington Hall in Roswell, Georgia, for a 75-minute workshop. Two sessions available -- 10:00AM and 12:00PM on Saturday, December 17. The workshop begins with an opportunity for children to write letters to Santa. Then with some assistance from Mrs. Claus and her helpers, children will decorate homemade sugar cookies with seasonal icings and decor. A special take-home box is provided for the goodies. After some storytelling by Mrs. Claus, the workshop ends with a visit by a very special "postman."

Barrington Hall is the home of Barrington King, son of Roswell King and co-founder of Roswell, GA. The 1842 Greek Temple museum/home has been lovingly restored and is open daily for tours. The surrounding seven acres features the only public antebellum garden in Atlanta.
