Oct. 2, 2011 - PRLog -- “Inventor issues challenge to create environmentally responsible products designed to dominate global industries”

Seattle—(October 3, 2011) – On tax day, April 15 2009, Larry Moody received the unexpected news that his position was being downsized—terminated.  Moody found himself in new territory after being fired for the first time in his life.  After receiving his pink slip from the CEO via e-mail, Moody’s entire life changed in a single moment.  Moody said during the first week, he had to analyze internal questions like, had he lost any skill sets or value to the marketplace?  The looming question was what’s next?

Like thousands of corporate executives, his current income, employment stability, health care and financial stability vanished without notice.  This single event forced Moody to set the course in moving forward with full knowledge that, “the same hammer that shatters glass, forges steel”

Moody decided that as an American businessman, he was going back to his core values of business thinking and decision making regardless of what others thought.  In the past, he had reluctantly disregarded these values in exchange for short term corporate profits, by seeking foreign manufacturing, products and services that were “cheaper”, and created an immediate impact to the bottom line.

Moody explains, “Today, there is an unprecedented need for entrepreneurial leaders to quit talking about the 'good old days' as if we have no future.”  Moody strongly believes that the future of the North American marketplace is in the hands of inventors and entrepreneurs, who will develop their ideas with the highest level of enthusiasm and passion into patentable products, built in America. Recently, President Obama signed the historic Leahy-Smith American Invents Act, which positively reforms the patent system and process for innovation.  Moody was already ahead of the curve as the President also recently challenged inventors to get busy.

Moody and his North American investment partners are now building products in America with American materials designed for global customers.  “The history of outsourcing product manufacturing has created the largest demise of manufacturing and support service jobs America has ever experienced.  Moody and his North American investment partners are fired up about the need to design “price competitiveness” into new inventions, utilizing the latest cutting edge technologies, re-positioning American products to compete globally.

Moody reinforces, “We must get our heads out of the sand and reset our thinking because the current trend will not change unless we ourselves change the course of events in our respective businesses!”  As an inventor, Moody has done just that by inventing environmentally responsible products that are specifically designed to dominate an industry.

Dan Humphries, President of IRM, Inc., recalled his first meeting with Larry Moody in the spring of 2009, “At that time Larry presented to us his idea/concept of a new and more economical approach to the marina dock market using Rotational Molding as the process of choice.  Innovative Rotational Molding Inc. has the largest machine of its kind in North America.  The idea was found to be innovative and very well thought out and following many months of design, engineering and development we have assisted in bringing this new dock to market.  Wavemaster Docking Systems has engaged exclusively with Entec Polymers for the proper selection of plastics.  The dock utilizes custom blends and colors of virgin Polyethylene and also uses recycled plastics creating friendlier environment 'Green' applications.”

The machine referred to by Dan Humphries is IRM’s custom built “Rock & Roll” machine, using 3-3.5m BTU Natural gas burners for heat electronically monitoring and controlling the entire process.  The single arm rotates (or rolls) the mold continuously 360 degrees simultaneously rocking the mold to 45° above or below the horizontal line.  The computer controls the speed of the Rock & Roll to any setting for even and/or varying wall thickness as required.  The cooling process is electronically controlled utilizing atomized mist and forced cool air, gradually lowering the temperature of the part to optimize the final physical properties.

The “Rock & Roll” Rotational Molding machine is the largest of its type in North America. The photo attached shows the first usage of this machine to produce the largest commercial dock floatation component of its type in the world.

WaveMaster Docks has received a great deal of support from an industry leader, Entec Polymers, Orlando Florida.  Ewald J. Consen "EJ"', Manager of Technical Service at Entec, has been involved in many aspects of the project, from product development and design to selecting the various grades of resins. EJ worked closely with the mold fabricators along with Dan Humphries of Innovative Rotational Molding, Inc.  This combined experience in the Rotational Molding industry spans more than 60 years and provides the industry’s top talent in the manufacturing process.

Moody did not wait for government loans, entitlement programs or pork spending from a politician to launch his business plan.  Instead, he rolled up his sleeves with a “do or die” passion and went to work making critical decisions that would accelerate his ideas into finished products.

Moody capitalized on the availability of manufacturing talent, resources and locations to bring jobs and manufacturing of products back home.  Moody has proven that American manufacturing and material prices can be “right” and the right time to “act” is indeed now!

Moody and  his North American investment partner’s formed, WaveMaster Docking Systems, Inc., http://www.wavemasterdocks.com and as a result developed industry leading products in the form of a unique residential and commercial dock system with the distinction of being the first true Green Boat Dock system.  In order to ensure a world-class product, Moody engaged a “think tank” of industry leaders to design and manufacture some of the largest known Rotational Molds in the world.  By engaging the very best manufacturing talent who currently use the latest technologies, partnered with suppliers providing the most innovative virgin and recycled materials, allowed WaveMaster Docks to develop a unique global product.  It costs less, is designed to last longer, installs in less time, ships at a lower cost and requires low to ZERO maintenance—all of this wrapped into an environmentally true green product.  These defining product differentiations position WaveMaster Docks as the “best value” to residential and commercial customers.

Moody and his North American investment partners engaged one of the top patent firms in America to create and file domestic/international provisional and final utility patents, designed to protect intellectual property.  The company also filed the appropriate applications and received approval for their domestic/international trademarks.  Moody states, “The same passion that drove the ideas from concept to fruition over the past two years, positions WaveMaster Docks to change an entire Industry, one installation at a time.”  WaveMaster is now actively searching for “Sales Channel Partners” who identify with this mindset and as a result will partner with WaveMaster Docks, taking their products to residential and commercial marina customers globally.  Moody supports the Leahy-Smith American Invents Act.
