Officemate© from Eyefinity successfully deployed on Argentstratus Cloud Server

Sept. 30, 2011 - PRLog -- Argentstratus, a Vancouver, Washington based Multi-Tenant Hosted Private Cloud provider and Gencom Northwest, a Portland, Oregon based Healthcare IT consultant, announce the successful implementation of Officemate© from Eyefinity© for vision clinics in the Argentstratus cloud data center.  This deployment is in support of clients who expressed an interest to Gencom Northwest to plan a server system to handle new software designed for HIPAA compliance.
 
The vision center that chose the Argentstratus Private Virtual Office has two offices located in Clark County Washington. The owners approached Gencom Northwest about how to design and implement a highly secured on-premise server to support their software.  Eric Wilgus, owner and Chief Technologist of Gencom Northwest, reviewed with the doctors the costs and benefits of designing and implementing an on-premise server system in relationship to using the Argentstratus Private Virtual Office.  The doctors realized the potential for a highly secured cloud-based server system to support their growth and business opportunities.  

Officemate©, the clients software choice, is a highly regarded software package in the industry and is designed for the practice with multiple professionals.  The problem facing the vision clinic is that newer generations of the software are more powerful and demand more resources because of the new requirement for portability; which then requires new investments in server equipment.  Argentstratus and Gencom Northwest successfully tested and deployed the software over a three-week period this summer.

“Working in a virtual server system could be the best way to get healthcare practices to upgrade their software to the HIPAA compliant versions that are being released now and that are possibly covered by the HITECH Act.” Eric points out.  The HITECH Act offers a stimulus to reimburse healthcare practices who license Electronic Health and Practice Systems that allow for portability.
