A Hungarian Woman's Life: Her miraculous story of survival is a testament to all those who weathered the Nazi storm and its aftermath

Sept. 29, 2011 - PRLog -- Erzsebet Kertesz was eight years old when she and her large family were uprooted from their tiny village in Eastern Transylvania by the onset of World War II.

The family was forced to relocate, and its members suffered through terrible times of fear, poverty and starvation. Eventually, Erzsebet and her family were torn asunder by cultural and generational differences, rooted in a time of great political upheaval and revolution.

Read the harrowing life story of the author, as she retells the horrors of her past. She survived life under German and Soviet occupation, experienced the bombing of her hometown, and then fled with her first husband to America after the 1956 Hungarian Revolution. Her miraculous story of survival is a testament to all those who weathered the Nazi storm and its aftermath.

In A Hungarian Woman’s Life, she writes of the joy of living in America, after suffering the depredations of wartime Europe and the Communist rule that followed. She warns that a free society can quickly lose its freedoms.
