Sept. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- Less than a month until the end of the world,....again.  Oakland Minister and Christian broadcaster, Harold Egbert Camping, predicted a world ending earthquake and rapture at 6:00 pm Pacific Time on May 21 2011. The publicity was astounding. Billboards went up everywhere. And of course, nothing happened.  The minister was "flabbergasted" by the non-rapture. He has since issued a new prediction: The rapture will actually occur October 21, 2011.  It seems the world is always ending. In response to all this hysteria, someone had to create a Doomsday Calendar.

Introducing the “2012 Doomsday Wall Calendar”: the last calendar you will ever need. The official Doomsday Calendar, created by filmmaker, and humorist, Chris Hume of Los Angeles, is here to give us all pause for laughter,

Each month is highlighted with a colorful end of times scenario for your Doomsday pleasure, such as Judgement Day, Killer Bees, Zombies, Aliens Kidnapping Earth, and (God forbid), the Collapse of the Internet. There are dates of famous failed doomsday predictions throughout the calendar as well!

Also available is the companion gift: the 2012 End of the World Survival Kit.  The rugged and colorful tin contains all that you will need to laugh your way through the Apocalypse, zombie repellent, killer bee face mask, a final gulp of air, a Mayan calendar coaster and more.

So, as we all hold our collective breath, as each apocalypse comes and goes, we can all be prepared to have a good laugh. That’s the best cure for insanity.

Chris Hume is an independent film maker.  His full length feature films include, "This Is Cuba," "Red State Road Trip," House without a Home," "Voices of Katrina" and "Beneath Los Angeles."  Hume is also an animator, "Attention Deficit Disorder Man," as well as an editor with credits on films such as, "Fahrenheit 9/11," "Waiting for Superman," "Sicko," "Corpse Bride," "Shakespeare in Love" and "Amelie."
