Controversial Pretoria Attorney Appoints Private Investigators

Sept. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- Recently disbarred Pretoria attorney and fraud accused Peet Viljoen has appointed Chad Thomas from IRS Forensic Investigations to conduct a parallel investigation into the allegations that he committed fraud to the value of R100 million involving properties belonging to Joburg Property Company (JPC).



Viljoen claims that he is the fall guy in a sophisticated fraud involving senior elected officials of the JHB Metro Council; senior employees of the JPC and well known controversial businessman Zunaid Moti.



Vilijoen believes that those behind the cover-up have connections within the Specialist Commercial Crimes Unit (SCCU), the SAPS unit investigating the JPC fraud.



Chad Thomas from IRS Forensic Investigations stated that he has seen several affidavits that appear to support certain of Viljoen's claims. "It would appear that Peet got involved with the wrong people from the outset. Should this matter ever get to court a lot of influential people will be named and have to account for their actions", said Chad Thomas.



Viljoen has laid counter charges which are currently the focus of an organised crime investigation.
