Sept. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- Along with Halloween coming again, people are starting to prepare their costume. For some fat people, they always worry what costume they suit the best and make them look daisy. There are some advice for you to share.

I think people of all sizes and shapes should consider their body type when choosing costumes, so that they will find something that will work with them and not against them. It does sometimes mean not cosplaying your favorite character, yes, but when you look good, you feel good.

Also, unfortunately, because there will be jerks who will judge you based on your size, you'll probably need an even "better" costume.

I have seen lots of larger women cosplay characters who are larger chested, like Rangiku or Tsunade (Naruto) because they definitely have the assets to do so! A stick-skinny woman wouldn't look quite the same if she's lacking the chest that these characters have as a "trademark", imho not that I'd tell them not to cosplay it, either.

I guess what I'm saying is to take your size and shape into account when choosing a costume, and I think you've done that already with the suggestions you've given.

Also, like mentioned, first cons can be overwhelming. There's much to see and do, and worrying about a costume isn't necessarily how I'd want to spend part of it. Perhaps go without a cosplay costume to your first one, and see if you enjoy it and would attend again, and see what other people are wearing and think about how you'd feel in costume. Another option is to bring it, do Friday without a costume assuming it's a weekend con, and wear it for just a few hours on Saturday, and normal clothes the rest of the time. That way, you've got a taste of what it's like to be in costume, but have also seen the con and gotten a little bit used to the atmosphere and layout of the building before dressing up, too. In all, you can still enjoy the cosplay entertainment.
