Skiers and snowboarders can choose from seven season pass options available at the preseason rate now through Monday, Oct. 31, 2011. With its $35 million expansion plan under way, this season, which kicks off on Friday, November 25, LVSSR will offer many new amenities and services. New this season, LVSSR’s lift attendants will scan guests’ passes and lift tickets using its new barcode scanning system. A part of the area’s technology upgrade, the system allows LVSSR to offer guests multiday lift tickets and ski school products.

2-Day Ticket: From the date of purchase, honored any two out of three days.
Adults: $100 (including holidays and weekends)
Kids/Seniors $60 (including holidays and weekends)

3-Day Ticket: From the date of purchase, honored any three out of five days.
Adults: $150
Kids/Seniors $90

5-Day Ticket: From the date of purchase, honored any five out of seven days.
Adults: $250
Kids/Seniors: $150

“The new barcode system for our lift tickets and season passes is a huge benefit for our guests. For example, we can now offer a multiday lift-ticket option, where a guest can make one purchase and ski several days, rather than waiting in line daily to purchase lift-tickets,” explains Kevin Stickelman, LVSSR’s president. “It also allows us to track our guests’ use of season passes. This information enables us to develop a greater understanding of guest behavior so that we can better respond to their needs when developing new season pass options.”

Daily lift ticket prices are the same as last season:
Adults: $50 per day Monday through Friday and $60 on weekends and holidays.
Kids/Seniors: $30 per day Monday through Friday and $40 on weekends and holidays.

The ski school program will also offer multi-day packages and pricing; details will be announced closer to the start of the season.

LVSSR pass holders also receive a 20 percent discount on lift tickets at any Powdr Corp. sister resort including Soda Springs Winter Resort, Lake Tahoe, Calif.; Boreal Mountain Resort, Truckee, Calif.; Park City Mountain Resort, Park City, Utah; Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort, Bend, Ore.; Killington Resort, Killington, Vt.; Pico Mountain Resort, Killington, Vt.; and Copper Mountain Resort, Summit County, Colo. Guests may present their Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort season pass at the ticket window each day to receive this discount.

This summer, LVSSR initiated a $35 million master development plan that will expand the number of trails to 50 and lifts to 10 once completed over the next 10 to 12 years. This season, guests will find the outdoor seating area at the base lodge expanded to 5,000 square feet. On the snow, additions include five high-efficiency snowmaking guns, two yurts for the expanded ski school and beginner programs and a NASTAR course.
