Sept. 27, 2011 - PRLog -- VANCOUVER, British Columbia (September 27, 2011)—What do golfers and pole dancers have in common? They both need a good grip.

Enter iTac2 Sports Grip, a new, natural product that first caught on with fitness pole dancers that is now providing golfers with a better connection to the golf club, enabling them to swing with more confidence and effectiveness.

From the moment you rub a small amount of iTac2 Sports Grip into both hands—including your glove if you wear one—your grip is immediately improved. The feeling of a securely held club in the hands reduces tension and uncertainty, which leads to improved shot-making. (Click here for a video on how to apply it.)

Made of organic beeswax and in two strengths to choose from, iTac2 Sports Grip enhances the connection between the club and the golfer, including professionals, elite and novice players, people with health conditions that affect their hands, and those who want to tee it up in tough conditions.

“Every golfer can benefit from iTac2 Sports Grip because it enhances the feeling of connection to the golf club,” said Peter Simpson of Vancouver-based In Your Face Sports, the agent for iTac2 in North America.

“iTac2 Sports Grip improves your grip in all weather, but especially when it’s rainy, or hot and humid. You don’t have to squeeze the club or worry about it slipping, so you can swing athletically and relaxed. iTac2 also helps golfers who suffer from overly sweaty hands, arthritis, Parkinson’s and other ailments that make it difficult for them to hold and swing a golf club securely,” Simpson added.

iTac2 conforms to both USGA and R&A Rules and does not build up on your grips. Many golfers re-apply it after nine holes. It naturally wears off and won’t damage your grips.

Golfers are raving about its benefits. This past June, 95 per cent of the field in the Canadian Professional Golf Tour’s ATB Financial Classic in Calgary tried iTac2. The majority said they enjoyed the product and it improved their sense of feel.

“We had pros who took iTac2 out in the morning for their practice round and came back in the afternoon asking for another container,” said Simpson.

iTac2 Sports Grip was developed by Australian brothers Warren and Nicholas Gamble. Nicholas had trouble gripping his lawn bowls due to a disability from birth, while Warren had a problem with sweaty hands when he attempted to steady his golf swing.

Warren worked in the furniture polishing business and experimented with different formulas until he developed iTac2 Sports Grip in 2009. It took off with Australian athletes in many sports, including rugby, tennis, paddling, lawn bowling, Australian Rules Football and golf.

Simpson says the product really exploded in popularity when fitness pole dancers began using it for workouts.

“The response has been amazing. iTac2 Pole Dance Grip has become standard equipment for pole dancing for exercise, which is incredibly athletic, requiring great skill and a high level of fitness,” says Simpson. “We have become a major part of the sport, sponsoring numerous champion athletes and competitions.”

One 45 gram (1.6oz) tub is good for 100 applications, which equals approximately 50 rounds. It is recommended that golfers reapply iTac2 Sports Grip after each nine. The natural product comes in regular and extra strength.

MSRP for iTac2 Sports Grip is US/Cdn $19.95 and is available online at and select golf retailers.
