Andrew Weinstein A Featured Speaker At The 2011 Florida Justice Association Auto Negligence Seminar

Sept. 27, 2011 - PRLog -- Attorney Andrew Weinstein, managing partner and founder of the Weinstein Law Firm, recently presented at the Florida Justice Association’s 2011 Auto Negligence Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Seminar. Andrew’s presentation, "Current Developments in PIP Insurance Litigation focused on recent case law interpreting Florida's Personal Injury Protection insurance law including the use of the Medicare fee schedule and the debate over whether it is mandatory or voluntary for insurers to pay claims pursuant to it.
"With the recent changes in the law, PIP claims made by doctors, chiropractors and other health care professionals are coming under more scrutiny and as a result insurance company practices also need to be examined more closely in an effort to prevent the denial of legitimate claims," said Andrew.
Andrew also discussed the recent decision from the Second District Court of Appeal regarding the Outpatient Prospective Payment System (“OPPS”) limitation, and offered tips and ideas for bodily injury practitioners when dealing with a client’s PIP claim.
