Sept. 26, 2011 - PRLog -- This web-based sourcing tool allows Enterprises to publish an RFP (request for pricing/proposal) online via customizable telecom templates for all categories of telecom services (wireless/mobility, local, long distance, audio/web conferencing, MPLS, Managed Services, Internet access and more…).   Telibid™ includes an optional state-of-the-art reverse auction format.

Dave Roberts, CEO of Teligistics stated, “Telibid™ is the next generation of sourcing tools for Enterprise-level telecom users.  Telibid’s™ design was based on the subject matter expertise we have assembled from sourcing thousands of large and complex telecom contracts for Enterprise customers totaling over $6 Billion in contract value since 1999.  Our methodology for analyzing telecom provider rate plans, for which we received a U.S. Patent in 2005 is the basis for the financial analysis reports that are created from the RFP bidder responses. Teligistics clearly continues to be the market leader for this type of in-depth analysis needed for benchmarking, budgeting purposes and for determining ultimately the award of any telecom contract.”

Roberts continued, “Because strategically sourcing telecom services is a foundational step to controlling exploding telecom costs, it is critical to create the proper leverage by issuing a professional RFP. It is extremely cumbersome for an Enterprise to create, launch and manage a global RFP.  It involves significant data mining, resources and advance planning. Telibid™ is a tool that can relieve that significant resource drain and compact a telecom RFP launch from months into days.”

Among the many features of Telibid™ is Rapid Deploy RFP™ which allows an Enterprise to launch a telecom RFP quickly when timeframes are critical to lessen the loss of leverage for an Enterprise as contracts approach expiration.  Teligistics also developed the Telecom Decision Matrix™ which is an objectives guideline for sourcing telecom and incorporates an audit trail to justify the award of large telecom contracts to comply with publicly-traded Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance initiatives.

Regarding the telecom reverse auction option for Telibid™, Roberts added, “We have actually been running reverse auction telecom RFP’s for a while now, so the concept is not new.  However, telecom reverse auction formats for telecom have typically been used in our industry in the past only for commodity-based telecom services such as long distance.  Telibid™ has solved the issues relating to comparing vendor service offerings that do not match exactly, such as MPLS”.

When discussing potential savings using Telibid™ Roberts noted, “A professionally managed RFP timed correctly is the most effective method for reducing telecom costs in a procurement cycle.  It is not unusual whatsoever for our RFP solution to reduce our clients’ telecom costs by over 50% for an Enterprise.  When clients have elected to use the telecom reverse auction format, the savings can be even higher.  For Enterprises that spend millions of dollars on telecom infrastructure and wireless, this cost reduction impact can be quite significant.”

Roberts also commented on other important elements Teligistics brings to their clients through Telibid™, “Since we are also heavily involved in client-vendor telecom contract negotiations we have designed our RFP templates to address World Class contract terms.  This is a feature you can only get through our expert sourcing consulting team, but we have baked it into our telecom RFP templates”.

Regarding other value-add components clients will receive using Telibid™ Roberts added, “We have used our extensive and ongoing experience in Telecom Expense Management (TEM) and Mobility Device Management (MDM) to structure service requirements, Service Level Agreements (SLA) and critical contract terms into our customizable standard telecom RFP templates.  Clients who use Telibid™ are getting much, much more than a simple template in which they get pricing from telecom vendors”.

“Pricing for Telibid™ is structured in three optional scenarios.  The typical Telibid™ project is priced either as a licensed model or software as a service (SaaS), a fully managed contingency model based on savings acquired or a fully managed project fee model.  We literally have enough flexibility in the pricing design to match any client’s needs regarding pricing,” stated Roberts.
