Sept. 26, 2011 - PRLog -- The seventh edition of ArtVerona comes back to Romeo and Juliet’s city from the 6th to the 10th of October with the objective of becoming once again the most significant meeting point for modern and contemporary art galleries and professionals, but also for people passionate of the arts, who have found in the latest editions of this fair a cultural offer that has no match in the rest of the country.

The organization committee of Art Verona, has decided to maintain some of the initiatives that have received the best feedback from visitors in the past years as well as to include some new contemporary theater and music exhibitions and installations so as to present a more comprehensive look at the national and international landscape of modern art that can be found in today’s Italian galleries.

These new spaces add to the already rich offer of Art Verona, that not only exhibits the most representative works of art in painting but that also integrates photography and visual arts with the sections PhotoArtVerona and VideoArtVerona in order to integrate new media and artistic channels that are becoming a fundamental part of new contemporary creation.

Making a comeback are the Aletti Awards, that recognize new talent and the professionals that support it, as well as the Icona contest, in which a work of art presented by one of the galleries is chosen to be the image for the next edition’s advertising campaign.

Also coming back are two of the initiatives that have been the most appreciated by the public, I Numeri Primi and d’Est. The former is a reflection on the new collector’s figure, character, profile and on the motivations and the passion that take him or her to share the acquired works of art with the public by means of public exhibits and museums. d’Est  is a look at the reality of modern and contemporary art of the countries of Eastern Europe. This year, several Serb artists will fuse their creations with the decoration and furniture of Palazzo Forti, seat of the Comune di Verona’s Palazzo Forti Modern Art Gallery. Paintings, photography, sculptures and digital art to create a welcoming positive space where visitors can live the artistic experience without pressure and prejudices.
Palazzo Forti is also the home of The Gentlemen of Verona an exhibit open from September 24th to January 8th that follows, generation by generation, the works of 21 of the most representative Italian artists of the last decade.

The 8th of October the Basilica of SS. Fermo e Rustico di Verona joins the event to receive in the frame of the Ad Lucem – Contemporary Art for Arvo Pärt initiative the  Vox Clamantis choir and the Virtuosi Italiani orchestra that will close the gatherings and debate that will start at 11.30 that same day.

ArtVerona is therefore an appointment not to be missed, a chance to contemplate, for business or pleasure, the best of the best of the modern and contemporary art galleries in the country, and to explore once again the professionalism and enthusiasm that drive this industry.
