Author Sidney Andrews Bares All In Provocative Memoir

An inspiring new memoir by Sidney Andrews has recently broken societal barriers, offering a beacon of hope for families and individuals coming to terms with being “different” and the pressures of “fitting in”.

Sept. 26, 2011 - PRLog -- Andrews’ newly-published memoir, entitled A Fall to New Heights: A Love Crept in Un-awares (ISBN-10 9781450286985, ISBN-13 9781450287005) chronicles the author’s painful story as a woman who finds herself caught in a non-traditional and inspiring love story with another woman.

The year is 1973, and Sidney – a wife of fifteen years and a mother to three children – is living what many would call a picture-perfect life. Within a year, this same life would unravel at the seams as Sidney embarks on a journey of self-discovery towards love and spirituality – a journey marked by discrimination, misunderstanding and pain that would eventually give way to acceptance, faith and peace.

Writing the memoir wasn’t so easy, Andrews revealed. “The biggest challenge in writing this memoir was that of knowing that I had to be painfully truthful, and reveal everything to a world that's not always accepting of any lifestyle, unless it meets certain prescribed norms,” she added.

Since its release, A Fall to New Heights has gotten fantastic reviews from both critics and readers, and received an Honorable Mention Award from the Hollywood Book Festival.
