Early childhood learning inspires breakthrough in kindergarten readiness.
Starting school is a challenge in early childhood, you say? Not necessarily. Introducing the all new School’s Cool System, a unique and affordable solution to the ongoing rise of student dropout rates:
WHAT IS SCHOOL’S COOL?
Nestled in the quaint, northern town of Haliburton, Ontario is a remarkable team of professionals, skilled in the discipline of cultivating young minds. Over the past decade, this group of early learning experts has been developing a system to help children succeed in their first years of school. By encompassing a rigorous, solution-focused philosophy along with a 72 hour play-based curriculum, the School’s Cool System was created.
The program, delivered over a 6-8 week period, is specifically designed to improve transition to school by concentrating on 5 skill domains: social relationships, psychological awareness, language, self-help, and math-cognitive. Students learn to adapt to classroom routines, socialize with peers, and gradually become aware of themselves as individuals within a community. Most importantly, School’s Cool recognizes abilities rather than perceived deficits by constantly reinforcing strengths to build a foundation of personal growth. By the end of the program, children have developed an “I can do it!” attitude which is unsurpassed by any other kindergarten readiness system.
What makes School’s Cool truly unique is its proprietary evaluation tool, known as the Developmental Checklist©. With a focus on specific, predefined learning outcomes, a student’s progress can easily be measured along a continuum. This ensures the impact of the program is constantly appraised as it applies to each child and to the group overall.
Finally, there is a system available which can produce measurable results! University research of thousands of children who have taken the 72 hour School’s Cool program have shown that children progressed up to one year in the five developmental skill areas listed above.
School’s Cool has proven to be most effective in child care centers, daycare centers, schools, home school settings, cultural-based settings, and ESL programs. However, given the implications of its success, there is no limit to the variety of environments in which the program will flourish. It is of considerable benefit to children with disabilities and equally to those who have not received the same opportunities or exposure as their fellow students.
By emphasizing the significance of parent involvement, School’s Cool has achieved a level of early learning education which expands beyond the classroom and into the lives of family members and the community. It is an epic experience which becomes a driving force to social change, ever instilling upon our youngest and most vulnerable citizens the importance of school and the attitude towards their journey through it.
