By: chelsea gregory Originally, Miss Gregory was invited as a special VIP guest but that role turned to actually getting to walk the runway when Mew Designs needed an extra model. Mew Designs, owned by Megan Mew, is out of Charleston, SC. "Megan is so amazing. She is fun, energetic and her clothes as sassy and flirty. Something I would definitely wear!", said Chelsea. The fact that Chelsea was Miss South Carolina International made Megan even more excited about the prospect of her modeling an outfit. "She had me wear my banner when we did our finale walk which was really special!" Chelsea said. Charlotte Fashion Week was held at the Epicenter in Uptown Charlotte and was put on by Plitz Fashion Marketing. Samantha Busch, wife of race car driver Kyle Busch hosted the show with sponsors like InStyler, Dolce Lusso Salon and Spa, Suite at Epicenter, Carolina Talent, LaNore Divine Shoe Boutique and others. Miss Gregory was interviewed by the media and available for red carpet photos when she wasn't back stage with the models, stylists and designers. Media included Back of the house Commentator Suzanne Libraind, Sheen Magazine, Monarch Magazine, Wink Magazine and Charlotte Magazine. "This was such an amazing experience for me. Since I am a PR major and in my senior year, I was able to experience the event from a different perspective. I am just so blessed!" Gregory said. Charlotte Fashion Week had a special thank you to Mayor Anthony Foxx, host, Samantha Busch, the Charlotte Junior Chamber, Charlotte Magazine, Musical Director, Silvio, Musical Guest, K RISS, and Troy Pelshak. All proceeds were donated to the American Cancer Society. # # # Mentors-Matter is a non profit founded by Chelsea Rae Gregory, Miss SC International.
