Jonny Lipford, local musician of Cedar Rapids, IA, has been nominated for a prestigious music award for his latest release, A Breeze At 72 Degrees.

Sept. 23, 2011 - PRLog -- Jonny Lipford, Cedar Rapids local musician, has been nominated for a prestigious “NAMMY” (Native American Music Award.)  Lipford’s nomination is placed in the Native Heart category for A Breeze At 72 Degrees, released March 6th, 2011.  The release of A Breeze At 72 Degrees kicked off Lipford’s national tour that has spanned 35 states and included performances in Canada.  Lipford is internationally recognized for his hybrid instrumental music featuring the Native American flute.  

The Native American Music Awards are hosting their 13th annual awards show on October 7th, 2011 at the Seneca Hotel & Casino in Niagara Falls, NY.  NAMA is the world's largest organization designed to recognize musicians for their contributions to contemporary and traditional Native American music.
