Metro Spotters Takes on Employee Theft by Providing Staff Integrity Checks to Bars/Restaurants/Clubs

While serving as head of security at a number of South Florida nightclubs during his college years, Allen learned first-hand about the damaging effect that poorly trained and performing staff can have on a business’ bottom line. Allen recalls, “It was incredible to see an establishment that consistently maintained a high head count close after only a few months only to find out from the business owners that their costs increased while their profit decreased during the same time. After witnessing the staff’s behavior – including drinking on the job, poor customer service, theft and a large volume of unauthorized “comps” – the reason the businesses were shuttered became crystal clear.”  

Revisiting these experiences and thanks to encounters with other businesses currently experiencing the same issues inspired Allen to create a service to provide owners with valuable insight as to how their employees perform when they are absent.  Says Allen, “Most employees are good…when the boss is around. As a business owner, you have limited options as far as monitoring their activities. You can’t work 24//7 and your GM can’t be everywhere at once. We envision Metro Spotters as your on-call, silent floor manager.”
