Maplecrest Ford Lincoln of Union New Jersey Announces Student Cyber Cafe Winners

Sept. 23, 2011 - PRLog -- Maplecrest Ford Lincoln of Union New Jersey is pleased to announce the winner of our Student Cyber Cafe contest in the 8 to 12 and 13 to 16 year old categories:

Maureen McLean is the winner in the 8 to 12 year old grouping and Lucy Zhang is the winner in the 13 to 16 year old grouping.

Maureen, a 10 year old from Old Bridge New Jersey, was chosen as the winner from the many entries we received in the 8 to 12 year old group. For her entry entitled "Thanks For Everything", Maureen offered a unique view about Mother Nature and the recent earthquake that hit the northeast US as well as hurricane Irene.

Maureen is the winner of a brand new Apple iPod Touch.

Lucy, a 14 year old from Belle Mead New Jersey, was chosen as the winner from the many entries we received in the 13 to 16 year old group. For her entry entitled, Lucy offered her unique view about Mother Nature as it relates to the earths precious natural resources.

Lucy is the winner of a brand new Apple iPad.

For those of you who are not familiar with our Student Cyber Cafe contest, Maplecrest Ford Lincoln of Union New Jersey ran a summer long writing contest for school aged children in an effort to promote continuous learning. Contestants were to write a short essay, email, paragraph, or poem on the topic "Mother Nature".

We had planned to select and announce the winners much closer to the contest end date but Maplecrest Ford Lincoln had some damage from the recent floods.

Maribeth Woodford, Maplecrest Ford Lincoln of Union New Jersey Internet and BDC Director states, "Our intention was to let school aged children know that just because school was over for the summer didn't mean they had to stop learning". Maribeth continues, "not only did this allow them to continue learning over the summer break, but it allowed them the opportunity to win some really great prizes! What child wouldn't want an Apple iPod Touch or Apple iPad? We think the contest was a great success." Maribeth ends with, "we just want children to continue with their passions and never stop learning!"
