Sept. 23, 2011 - PRLog -- London Fashion Week is over. Certainly the British fashion council knows how to create every season an amazing atmosphere on the London Fashion Week. Here are the highlights from:  Meadham Kirchhoff, Peter Pilotto, Matthew Williamson, Nicole Farhi, A Child of the Jago, Mary Katrantzou and Christopher Kane.

Meadham Kirchhoff was an explosion of colour, a 60s pop art show with ballerina dancers, a life size magic box ,a huge balloon installation, bubble wigs, neon lips and glitter - mixed with the Magic Roundabout in a nursery rhyme mix up: clownish platforms of layered glittery rubber and frills let the models stomp around in pompom dresses of ostrich feather, big rhinestone knickers, cardigans smothered in hearts and dollies and apron dresses featuring teddy bear faces. The clothes were straight from a dress up box, with structured sequined knicker-shorts, bright pinafore dresses and heart motifs in bold canary yellow, pillar box red and turquoise.

Peter Pilotto's SS 2012 collection embraces both new and classic perspectives on elegance. Otherworldly prints combine with soft, sculptural shapes to form the handwriting of the design duo, something which evolves and is explored each season as opposed to being reactionary.

Christopher Kane SS 2012 collection included pastel satin dresses, floral printed dresses, cool shift dresses, cigarette pants, tailored shorts and mini skirts with boxy jackets.

Matthew Williamson’s inspirations for the SS 2012 collection are: The prints are inspired by the fusion of nature and technology. And I’m also finding inspiration in Japanese culture.

Nicole Farhi’s inspirations for the SS 2012 collection are: Flowers, ice cream and lightness.

A Child of the Jago inspirations for the SS 2012 collection are: Swag jackets based on the local gamblers of Clerkenwell in the 1800s. Mack the Knife suits and silk patch T-shirts.

Mary Katrantzou’s inspirations for the SS 2012 collection are: Industrial fabrication versus formal beauty in nature.
