Actor Blythe Danner to Honor Suzanne Whang at Breast Cancer Benefit September 24

Suzanne Whang was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006. In April of this year she came out of the closet publicly with her diagnosis of stage IV breast cancer, and began to openly talk about the impact of her five year continuing journey with the disease.

"Hollywood, at heart, really is a small town. Actors, writers, directors, producers work together all day every day to tell stories the world wants to see. I'm honored that so many talented people will be performing and speaking at this event, and I'm hopeful the coverage it gets will have a wider impact on our national community. 1 in 8 women in the U.S. are diagnosed with breast cancer and very, very few of them have the care and support they need to come through the personal and professional crisis unscathed.  I have a great deal to be thankful for in my personal life.  And I've had a lot of auditions lately!  Who knew cancer would be such a great career move for me?"

The fundraiser starts at 6:00 pm with a cocktail reception, followed by a 7:00-9:30 pm show and a 9:30 pm - midnight after-party. The Los Angeles location for the event will be disclosed to each guest after ticket purchase.
