International Association of Conference Centers Releases Series of Industry-related Videos

14 Video Clips on Content-rich Topics Related to the Meeting Experience

Sept. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Peter Stockmann, President of IACC Americas, announced the release of 14 video clips on content-rich topics related to the meeting experience.  The videos are all based on IACC’s third Thought Leader Summit and subsequent white paper “Creating Compelling Meeting Experiences” at IACC’s 30th annual conference.

John Potterton, CMP, facilitator of the event and recipient of IACC’s Award of Excellence and Pyramid Award, stated, “the videos are designed to “educate meeting professionals on the components, skills and elements that are necessary to create a compelling meeting experience.”

Broadcast live and webcast around the world from the Kellogg Center at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC, the event focused on brain-compatible learning, creating productive and memorable experiences, and measuring their impact.

The diverse panel included an authority on fully engaged adult learning and conference design; an expert on breakthrough learning; a member of the Steering Committee of the much-anticipated “Project Meeting Architecture;” a designer of furnishings and meeting spaces; a seasoned planner at an IACC conference center and a guru on incorporating social media into the meeting experience.

According to Potterton, the purpose of the summit was “to help conference center professionals and meeting professionals raise the bar on the meetings and events they create within their own organizations; to give them new knowledge on how to create compelling meeting experiences that engage participants; and to assist them in transforming meetings in a way that drives business results. “

A wide variety of topics from the Thought Leader Summit included:

•   Searching for the proper measurement of what meetings deliver for organizations.
•   The role of conference centers in maximizing ROI for customers.
•   The effect of physical spaces on a meeting’s effectiveness and ROI.
•   Introducing different elements into a space to improve attendee performance.
•   The role of food and beverage in maximizing a meeting’s ROI.
•   How conference centers can be a part of the “meeting architecture” process.
•   The role of planners and conference centers in making meeting content more effective.
•   The role of conference centers in enhancing meetings through technology.
•   The role of conference centers in shaping the customer experience of the future.

The entire white paper: “Creating Compelling Meeting Experiences” is available here.
