Sept. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Award winning Hot Diggidy Dog Sauce, the sweet 100% natural and gluten free hot pepper sauce, has developed a single use sachet to avoid getting the powerful chilli sauce on fingers. It’s hoped that the specialist sachet packaging will open up new marketing channels in the restaurant and convenience markets.

The single use sachets are a real coo for the young food business; having listened to customer feedback and whilst searching for wider market opportunities the snap and squeeze sachet was developed in the UK for customer convenience and increased sale volumes. Credit card sized, the user simply has to fold back the packaging which self perforates a small hole in the centre allowing accurate placement and just the right desired amount onto food. Importantly it avoids the user getting the hot sauce on their fingers.

Hot Diggidy Dog is looking to list these sachets with dining outlets, Hotels, ready meal producers and restaurant chains with a quick and convenient way to spice up any dish. A number of companies have expressed an interest in taking this new product because of its simplicity. RRP per sachet is £0.20.

The secret to Hot Diggidy Dog Sauce appeal is the combination of ingredients that allows the natural heat of the chillies to come through slowly and allows the palette to taste the flavours of the food first. Developed by chilli loving entrepreneur Simon Llewellyn used chillies to spice up bland food whilst spending three months at sea underwater with the Royal Navy Submarine fleet. The former nuclear marine engineer became injured whilst in service and also used to use chillies for their natural pain relief properties.

Hot Diggidy Dog is sold though a host of national and independent food retailers, from the giants like Tesco Extra stores and Asda (Wales only) though to over 400 independent butchers, grocery stores and deli’s right across the UK, and catering units globally. The unique display packaging and branding makes it the 57ml bottle leap out of the shelves. (RRP £1.65 - £1.99)

Simon Llewellyn, owner and producer of Hot Diggidy Dog is an ex Royal Navy submariner. Simon used to bring chillies and other spices on board the submarines to liven up with bland food when out at sea for three months at a time.

After being injured whilst competition in the Royal Navy field gun competition (Guinness book or records “toughest team competition in the World”), Simon turned to the natural pain relief properties chillies possess. When he retired from the Navy and his later career as a nuclear marine engineer he began importing chilli sauces to the UK.

The dog on the bottle is a real sausage dog called Earl, the family pet.
