Waycross Georgia – Future Home of Internet Marketing Firm & High Tech Jobs

Native Resident Returns with Big Plans for Internet Marketing, Development & Mobile App Company

Sept. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- With all the talk of economic hardship and the doom and gloom surrounding the global financial crisis, it’s great news to hear that a former area resident has returned with a focus on creating jobs and establishing Waycross as a base of operations for several Internet based ventures.

Sean McCoy, President and CEO of Ethermark, an Internet Marketing and Development Company moved to the Waycross area in 1980 as a toddler. Son of Clyde and Brenda McCoy, Mr. McCoy attended Williams Height Elementary, Center Junior High School as well as Ware County and Waycross High before moving away prior to his senior year.

“I remember leaving and feeling very sad and really concerned that I’d lose touch with my classmates and friends. Most of the people I went to high school with, I’d known since grade school. It was a challenging time.” said McCoy. “Over the years I’ve always thought of Waycross and Ware County as home and as we pulled into the city limits, I was just overwhelmed with great memories and lots of excitement for what is to come.” McCoy continued.

Over the past two decades McCoy has had a colorful history as a business owner, touring professional musician, service in the military and most recently as the Chief Marketing Officer for web hosting incumbent, AIT, Inc. (Fayetteville, NC.) a two time Inc. 500 and Delioutte and Touche honoree. As the leader of the NC based firm, Mr. McCoy was responsible for the establishment and supervision of over 100 dealerships both domestic and abroad with over 8,000 private labeled, value added resellers. Additionally he had direct supervision of the creation of the companies search engine, tybit.com

“My goal is to establish the company, its products and services, provide unparalleled service and support and to create jobs. To me, a viable business and putting people to work is the very definition of economic development. If folks like myself who have the experience and know how don’t step up to the plate we can all say good bye to the American dream and any chance of economic stability in the future.” states McCoy.

McCoy an Internet entrepreneur had built and sold his first business prior to most of his peers graduating from college and sold his second firm, Netrophia.com in 2000. McCoy envisions a local firm that provides many of the services available in larger markets to businesses in Waycross and the surrounding communities with a economical price and personalized service.

“The first offering will be WaycrossDaily.com which is a very simple concept, a marriage between business and consumers. Area businesses provide their promotions in the form of redeemable coupons which can be printed, sent to their smart phone or shared with friends. The idea in its self isn’t new but our approach along with complete social and mobile integration is. ” said McCoy.

McCoy believes that smaller markets and communities are often underserved from a technology aspect and viewed as, “resistant and hesitant to adopt” by web services and tech companies. He further explained his concern that larger service providers are often held captive to share holders which leads to the stifling of innovation.

“Businesses right here in Waycross and the surrounding communities want the same thing that those on the 35th floor in New York, value for their dollars. Businesses need transparency from their vendors and education on solutions that equal new prospects, new sales, and earnings, not just what’s cool or new.  At the same time, area consumers are clipping coupons, finding promotion codes and buying products and services outside the community because there isn’t a single point to find the best deals locally. I plan to solve this very quickly.” stated McCoy.

WaycrossDaily.com which is currently in beta and directly linked to a supporting Facebook page is to be heavily promoted both locally and regionally in the coming months. The company plans to invest between $100,000.00 to $300,000,000 dollars in advertising for its online property by the end of 2012. Outside of traditional marketing, the firm is placing considerable faith in word of mouth and the needs of consumers during these difficult financial times.

The public launch of WaycrossDeals.com is scheduled for 10/17/2011 however area businesses seeking to get a head start are invited to join an early adopter program which offers up free advertising through 2011. Additionally, 50% discounts are to be given to all early adopters who continue their adverting through the first quarter of 2012.
