Fencing off the Grid with Kencove
The nationwide distributor of agricultural fencing supplies will focus on solar powered fencing during its debut appearance at the Mother Earth News Fair Sept. 24-25 in Seven Springs, Pa.
The company from nearby Blairsville, Pa. will make its debut appearance at the fair at booth 807 and plans to exhibit several solar-fencing options for fairgoers along with its standard array of products for the farmer and fence builder.
Kencove’s appearance at the fair follows a renewed emphasis on solar-powered fencing. In the past year, Kencove has expanded its solar options, adding panels, mounting brackets and solar controllers to its existing product line. Most notably, the company developed the Solar Dolly™, a handcart that’s designed to hold and easily transport a solar panel, energizer, solar charge controller and battery to any location in the field for renewable, off-the-grid electric fencing.
“The Solar Dolly™ is an exciting product,” said Bonita Whalen, a Kencove product specialist. “You can haul it practically anywhere to power a fence and you don’t have to worry about extension cords or an electric bill. It’s especially useful for powering temporary fences or for rotational grazing.”
While solar-powered fencing is the marquee topic for Kencove at the fair, the company will have additional products and free literature on hand for a wealth of topics, including high-tensile fence, rotational grazing supplies, horse fence, portable electric netting and more. Whalen, a veteran Kencove product specialist, will be on hand to answer any questions.
“This is our first appearance at the Mother Earth News Fair and I’m looking forward to talking with everybody,” Whalen said. “With this crowd, there are a lot of people starting small farms as a hobby or for a lifestyle change. Because many of them are new to fencing, I’m happy to help them get started.”
The Mother Earth News Fair runs Sept. 24-25 at Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Seven Springs, Pa.
