Minidos Liquid Softener is designed for treating hard water for drinking and industrial applications. This is relevant for any application which usually uses an ion-exchange softener. This product will inhibit hardness and corrosiveness of water supply systems.
MiniDos liquid treats by chemical conditioning of water where instead of replacing or removing calcium and magnesium, the liquid makes them less available for formation of deposits and it stops corrosion, scale and bacteria growth in pipes, boilers, cooling towers. The effect of this will cause the water to behave in some ways as if it has been softened, without phosphates and silicates.
The most important aspect of MiniDos Liquid Softener is its ability to form water-soluble complexes with polyvalent ions (eg. Ca, Mg, lead, copper, zinc, cadmium, mercury, manganese, iron) over a wide pH range from 2 – 13.5. By preventing precipitating salts from causing scale and by sequestering the Calcium ions, the liquid is highly effective.
