Follow on Google News | Detroit Rapper Releases Classic MixtapeDetroit rapper Squiddy released his second mixtape recently.
By: Web Nation This project features remixes to well known songs such as “Eye In The Sky”, “Nas Is Like”, Never Let Me Down”, “Da Joint” from legendary artists like Jay-Z, Kanye West, Nas, EPMD and more. For the love volume two starts out with a track that should be familiar to many Chicagoans. “Eye in the Sky” is the song from Alan Parsons that the Chicago Bulls use in their introductions. This track really sets the tone for the rest of the mixtape. Here Squiddy is rapping with a can't stop me type attitude. He uses sharp metaphors that compare his rapping style to the way he used to play basketball. His knowledge of the game and rap come through effectively in this entertaining and motivating track. Squiddy lets his listeners in on more of his background and profile in a track entitled “They Call Me Squiddy”. This is a song similar to “Nas Is Like” which uses the same beat Nas used, as well as Eminem's “Hi My Name Is”. The second volume of For The Love also includes some trademark Christian remixes which Squiddy is know for. He follows up his popular remix of “One Mic” in his last mixtape with remixes of “ASAP” by TI and “Never Let Me Down” from Jay-Z and Kanye West. FTL Vol. 2 also features a creative interlude incorporating principles of the popular game catch prase as well as a Detroit anthem “From Da Troit”. This is an impressive body of work by the up and coming rapper that any hip hop fan should give a listen to. He shows a great deal of potential, passion and skill on his second mixtape release which has built up anticipation for his first album set to drop sometime in 2012. # # # Squiddy is a hip hop artist from Detroit with Christian values.
