By: Yoga 4 Peace Southgate, MI (September 19, 2011) IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Are you turning inward for peace and tranquility? Maybe you’ve found these but want to share your knowledge with others? Yoga lovers new and experienced will come together during the Yoga 4 Peace Teacher Training beginning October 8, 2011 at the studio located near the Northline Road exit of I-75 at Yoga 4 Peace, Inc. 13550 Dix-Toledo Rd. Southgate, MI 48195. Like minded peers will explore the ancient practice of yoga through a 200-hour program in 20 short weeks that is designed to immerse students in the practice of yoga as well as to develop their understanding of asana and philosophy. The program empowers students to practice and teach yoga effectively, safely, and with confidence. Students will learn: • The proper use of voice and tone to use in a Yoga session • The utilization of rhythm and flow to enhance the student’s enjoyment • The role that background music may play to set mood and mindfulness • The principles of “prana” and the proper use of breath control as the students move through the poses • The exploration of the energy receptors (nadis and chakras) and their role in the practice of Hatha Yoga and guided relaxation This transformative program begins on October 8, 2011 with orientation on September 17, 2011 from 1 p.m.- 3 p.m. Upon successful completion of course requirements, graduates are eligible for Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) 200 Certification from the Yoga Alliance. Yoga Alliance is a U.S. national education and support organization and its standards provide teachers with a solid foundation for their yoga teaching practice and help protect the health and safety of society. These standards encompass the many aspects of yoga including anatomy and physiology, yoga lifestyle and ethics, teaching methodology, and techniques training. More than 25,000 yoga teachers and schools meet its internationally recognized standards of training, experience and ongoing professional development.
