Follow on Google News | Leaf Peeping with an Artistic TouchDiscover Chateau on the Lake and all it has to offer this fall, including walking and hiking leaf-peeping opportunities, as well as a rare opportunity to view works from renowned artist, Lyman Whitaker.
By: Nina Zapala The gardens at Chateau on the Lake provide the ideal backdrop for these unique and fluid sculptures. The undulating movements of Whitaker’s sculptures reflect the many moods of weather and the wind. These captivating and calming fine works of art were created to be enjoyed for years to come. Each sculpture is handmade of copper, steel, and stainless steel – metals chosen for their beauty and durability. These sculptures can be arranged individually or in a group and range in height from 5 to 28 feet. They can be viewed in fine art galleries across the country in California at the City of Whittier and the Chandon Winery, the St Louis University Museum, and the Missouri Botanical Gardens, Missouri. Stephen Marshall, Vice President and General Manager of Chateau on the Lake, adds, “This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase an artist whose work reflects the true elements of nature. It matches the philosophy of the resort as we always strive to extend a “true” Branson experience for each guest.” The peek fall foliage begins late September and continues through October, while the wind sculptures will be on display until the end of November. They sculptures are for sale and can be viewed at the resort gardens any day of the week from dawn to dusk.
