Sept. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- “All it takes is a little help from a lot of people to make a difference,” says Tony Puckett on his unique charitable idea MilionToOneProject.com.

“I’m sure I’m like most people.  I own a house, a couple of cars, and have a little spending money at the end of the week to go out and get a pizza with the family.  But with the economy in the shape it’s in, there are a lot of families out there that are struggling.  A lot of people have lost their jobs and are wondering how they’re going to make it through the week.”

“This is the United States of America, and that’s just wrong.  In this country people shouldn’t have to live that way.  I grew up believing that if you work hard and apply yourself you can achieve anything, but with this economic downturn the rules of the game have changed.”

“Not too long ago I was pumping gas and a lady came up to me explaining how her and her husband were homeless living out of their car and she was asking for a little money so they could get something to eat while traveling to Texas looking for work.  And as I’m standing there listening to her story, I know that I don’t have a single dollar in my wallet I can give her, and it broke my heart.  That’s when I knew I had to do something,” and MillionToOneProject.com was born.

“I can’t imagine how it must feel to not have a home, or wonder where I was going to get my next meal.  The pressure it must place on a family has to be enormous.  If this website can help take that burden off of a family, that would be terrific,” Tony says as he wipes away a tear.

The idea behind this unique website is pretty simple.  Get a lot of people to purchase a small square on its homepage for $2.  In that square the person can put their picture along with a small message and their Facebook page link if they’d like.  And when the goal of one million “face pic” squares sold is reached, the money will be pooled together to purchase a home for a deserving family that needs it.

Businesses can also participate.  There are a limited number of squares set aside for businesses that would like to place an ad and link it directly to their website.  The ad will be seen by at least one million people.

“I just want to help out a family that really needs it,” Tony says.  “I don’t consider it charity, I see it as a second chance.”

Applying for the home giveaway or nominating someone is easy.  For more information, or to purchase a square or ad, visit the website at www.milliontooneproject.com.
