Sisters Network Shreveport Affiliate Seeking High-Heel Shoe Donations for Breast Cancer Walk
Public invited to honor those who have lost their battle to breast cancer by donating new or gently used high-heels to help disadvantaged women get back on their feet
Dress for Success Shreveport-Bossier is a non-profit organization powered by a collection of local women dedicating their time to promoting the advancement and empowerment of local disadvantaged women. The organization provides interview suits and additional "employment"
"I think the true beauty of this donation collection effort is in the symbolism of the memory of a woman will be used towards helping another woman currently rebuilding her life," says Chapter President Crystal Brown-Tatum."
The Shreveport affiliate marks the 44th chapter of Sisters Network Inc.; the nation’s only African-American breast cancer survivorship organization. Monthly support group meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of each month from 6-7p.m. at 4 J’s Java and More (605 Texas Street).
