New for the application is ability to create one or several desktop panels for applications or files launching. It works like standard application launcher but is placed on desktop like stylish gadget with customization options.
SE-DesktopApps lets to add any types and any number of files and folders to the quick launch panel. Moreover all of desktop objects can be dragged and dropped to selected panel without additional settings. Shortcuts added to the panel will be hidden from the desktop if the hidden option is enabled. Quick launch panels allow user to organize desktop elements in groups and place these groups according to need and frequency of usage on the desktop.
Layout and appearance of the desktop panels are fully customizable and can be configured to blend with a desktop appearance and gratify user's taste. As usual developer includes lot of presets for quick start. Many configuration parameters let to change panel's size, shape and color, number of elements, ordering of elements in the panel, shape, color, font of elements and any other parameters which are available for panel customization.
The new version is not limited to the new desktop gadget; existing gadgets were also updated. Clock gadget was updated with stopwatch. The multistage stopwatch lets to measure time intervals, create markers and save results in the log file.
