Benchmark Recovery Center Announces Support for Big Texas Rally for Recovery

Sept. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- Austin, TX--Benchmark Recovery Center is proud to announce that they are a sponsor of the first ever Big Texas Rally for Recovery. The rally will bring together thousands of supporters from around the country to unite their voices in an effort to bring attention to the disease of addiction and better understand the steps to recovery.

The Big Texas Rally for Recovery aims to broaden public awareness and understanding of the disease of addiction and break the stereotypes that hinder the progress of those in recovery. TexasRecovery! believes that the misguided stigma attached to people in recovery is a serious roadblock to many who would otherwise be willing to seek help. The friends and supporters of the estimated 500,000 people in recovery in Texas alone will be a powerful voice in this cause.

Supporters will gather on the south steps of the state capitol on October 1st, at 4:00 pm.
Thomas "Hollywood" Henderson will share his personal story and the Jimi Lee Band will give a performance. All are welcome to attend.
