In-House Agencies Focus on Functional Excellence To Gain a Competitive Advantage

Sept. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- The In-House Agency Forum (IHAF), a national membership organization for in-house advertising agencies, will host the 2011 IHAF Awards and Annual Conference on October 6-7, 2011 in Norwood, MA. Drawing 150 in-house agency executives, marketing managers and creative contributors, this year’s conference, Achieving Functional Excellence, will provide access to experts, content and practices that support building centers of excellence in each of the functional areas that exist within an in-house agency.
The conference will feature a keynote presentation by Boris Groysberg, Professor of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School, who will share his research on strategic human resource management—revealing his systematic approach for achieving a sustainable competitive advantage by leveraging talent.
The keynote will be followed by a series of break-out sessions focused on best practices across the leading in-house agency functions: account service, creative, media, production and traffic. Conference attendees will walk away with strategies to apply to their roles and the management of their functional areas, enabling increased performance enterprise wide.
The final presentation of the day will premiere the results of a national study on organizing and incentivizing employees to deliver a world-class digital experience. The conference will conclude with a cocktail reception where the winner of the first-ever In-House Agency of the Year will be announced.
The evening before the conference, the third annual IHAF Awards Show will be held. The IHAF Awards recognize creative excellence among in-house agencies across a host of print and digital categories including advertising, direct mail, email, mobile devices, sales collateral, videos, websites and more.
