By: O2 Media, Inc. Food For The Poor has had a strong presence on O2 Media’s national morning show, “The Balancing Act,” which airs on Lifetime Television. In 2010 the show featured a segment called ‘Build a Village’ with a little girl name Rachel. Ten year old Rachel Wheeler raised $170,000 to build 27 two-room homes in Haiti. After filming at O2 Media, Rachel’s new quest has been to build a school in Haiti. Co-host Kristy Villa, who is the master of ceremonies at the 5K Walk/Run, will catch up with Rachel at the event to ask her what it was like to inaugurate her village and to meet the residents.
