Sept. 14, 2011 - PRLog -- Alex Call, hit songwriter for Huey Lewis, Pat Benatar, Mr. Big, Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes, and Tommy Tutone’s "867-5309 Jenny" will be performing and speaking about his exploits as recording artist, rock road warrior, hit writer, guitarist, and author. Alex will also demonstrate some of his preferred guitar technology and techniques. There will be a pre-performance reception with refreshments and Alex will be available to sign copies of his new book before and after the show. During the show Alex will perform some of his biggest hit songs and he will do a Q&A where the audience may quiz him about the biz, his gear, songwriting, and a vast array of other insider topics.

In response to the book Alex's friend Elvis Costello said, "Alex has written a vivid and honest memoir. Alex and his Clover colleagues were once almost-mythical figures on record sleeves to me. This book fills in the human story between those photographs and the guys I got to know at the very start of my career and those I am still happy to call my friends. Read this and you'll realize, music has been a passport, an occasional alibi, and something to catch you when you fall."

Much more info about Alex and the event can be found on the World Music Nashville website. The pre-show reception starts at 7PM in the new grand room at W.M.N.. Be part of the crowd that spontaneously and loudly joins in and sings along to "Jenny". It always happens!
