By: JW Stealey Sept. 14, 2011 - PRLog -- CARY, NC, Sept 13, 2011 – Thriller New Media, a division of iEntertainment Network, (PINK SHEETS: IENT.pk), the award-winning developer of the world famous WarBirds TotalSims series, today announced that it is expected that over 200 online aviators will participate in a new Online Combat reenactment event of World War II Combat Flying starting September 18th, 2011! “The Rain Begins”, the S3 Series Event Number 70, a reenactment of the massive Allied bombing campaign over Germany 1942-1944, will be held online starting Sunday, September 18th, 2011, at 0030 GMT (2030 EDT USA), in the online arenas of Thriller New Media. This Online Event will run for five consecutive Sunday evenings.
Hundreds of online players are expected to participate in this longest running online World War II reenactment series, the Squadron Select Series (S3). Online Virtual Aviators will fly on both sides of the reenactment in B-24s, B-17s, Spitfires, P-51 Mustangs, and P-47 D Thunderbolts, for the Allies, against the Axis Luftwaffe Pilots in Messerschmitt Me-109s, Focke-Wulf 190s, and in the German jets, the ME-262. The Allies will be trying to bomb German industry and the Luftwaffe will try to prevent the bombers from getting to their targets. The reality and challenge of combat flying represented by the long running S3 Series is one of the many reasons WarBirds has been the premier online combat flight simulation since 1995 and players keep coming back year after year. Each frame will represent a season of a year winter, spring, summer, and fall and plane sets will change or be added to as the years progress. The Allies must plan well for they must damage German industry over two series. This means 10 frames to devastate German industry and other targets as specified.
