Masters Conference Announces John O’Tuel, Assistant GC of GlaxoSmithKline, as 2011 Event Keynote

Sept. 14, 2011 - PRLog -- Washington, D.C. - The Masters Conference, an advanced legal educational experience, today announced that John O’Tuel, Assistant General Counsel of GlaxoSmithKline, will be a keynote speaker at its October conference. The theme for Masters Conference 2011 is “Security, Privacy and Compliance within Corporate Litigation,” and it will be held October 3-5 at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C. O’Tuel will speak on Tuesday, October 4th on “Preservation and e-Discovery Reform:  Its Importance for the U.S. Judicial System and Beneficial Implications for Privacy Concerns”.

“The Masters Conference is well-known for providing relevant topics presented by quality speakers,” O’Tuel said. “I am honored to be invited to speak alongside this elite group of experts.”

O’Tuel works in the Dispute Resolution & Prevention group at GlaxoSmithKline. As Assistant General Counsel, he manages a variety of litigation including antitrust matters, product liability cases and a diverse collection of commercial litigation. He is involved with litigation and IT processes with a focus on e-discovery.  O’Tuel also works on privilege coordination issues, pro bono projects, and civil justice reform efforts. Before joining GlaxoSmithKline, he practiced at the law firm Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice in Raleigh, NC.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of North Carolina and his law degree from Wake Forest University.
