“Our volunteers have been busy all summer long culling through donated jewelry and giftware. They’ve been cleaning and pricing and making room in their display cases for all the new merchandise, “said Jean Gajano, Community Relations Coordinator. “We have new silver sterling pieces and some great designer names to sell. “ Indeed, Fabulous Finds is selling jewelry by Georg Jensen, Tiffany and Chanel, giftware from Lladro and sunglasses from designers such as Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Vera Wang and Ray-Ban. The boutique also offers a large array of watches, china, silver pieces and crystal. The boutique now boasts a new three panel mural depicting the charitable work of New Eyes for the Needy painted and donated by local resident and Cornell freshman, Russell Silver-Fagan. “We encourage and welcome the community to come and see our beautiful mural. It ‘s a great reminder to shoppers that while they are getting great value and bargains, they are helping to improve the lives of less fortunate individuals.” New Eyes for the Needy, a nonprofit organization in Short Hills, solicits and receives donations of used eyeglasses, jewelry and miscellaneous giftware from all over the country. The used eyeglasses are sorted and distributed to the poor in developing countries while the jewelry and giftware are cleaned, repaired if needed, and then sold in the Fabulous Finds resale boutique. As always, all proceeds from Fabulous Finds go towards the purchase of new prescription eyeglasses for individuals in need living in the United States. Fabulous Finds accepts cash, check or Visa.
