Cross-Cultural Solutions Launches 2011 Photo Contest

Cross-Cultural Solutions has launched its 2011 Photo Contest for former volunteers to show "The Many Faces of CCS" through photography.

Sept. 12, 2011 - PRLog -- Cross-Cultural Solutions (CCS) launched its 2011 Photo Contest: The Many Faces of CCS today for former volunteers of CCS programs to enter for their chance to win a variety of prizes, including the first place grand prize — a complimentary one-week volunteer abroad program.

CCS is encouraging their alumni to share their perspective on volunteering abroad through photography, with a special focus on the people who make the volunteer experience worthwhile. Alumni are encouraged to submit their best photos representing an aspect of the CCS Experience — volunteer work, local people, cultural activities, free time, etc.

The contest will be held on CCS’ Facebook page. Photos may be submitted from Monday, September 12th to Monday, October 14th, 2011. A CCS panel of judges will select the top 50 finalists, and the public will then vote for the top three winners — first place, a complimentary Insight Abroad program; second place, $750 voucher toward a CCS volunteer program; and third place, a $500 voucher toward a CCS volunteer program. This year’s contest will also include honorable mentions, and will be followed by a caption contest open to the general public.

Well over 1000 photos were submitted in CCS’ 2010 Photo Contest: A Snapshot of the Volunteer Experience. These photos are on display on CCS’ Facebook page.
