Burbank International Film Festival Opening Night Welcomes Laci Kay From "Barracuda"

Sept. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- Prior to the premiere screening, Laci will be attending the Dove Chocolate Experience Plus Wine and Cheese Reception on Thursday September 15th from 5:00-7:00pm at  Video Symphony located at 266 East Magnolia Burbank, CA 91502.

"Barracuda" will have its premiere screening later that evening on opening night (Women In Film Night) at the 2011 Burbank International Film Festival at the AMC 16 Theater in Burbank, CA. (500 seats- the biggest theater to accommodate the Industry crowd), on September 15th at 10:30pm.

About Barracuda: "Barracuda" is a feature narrative social message, grind-house style, revenge movie about a phone sex operator who drives her plymouth Barracuda across the country bringing sexual deviants to justice. "Barracuda" was written, produced and stars female filmmaker Christy Oldham and directed by Shane Woodson. Awarded for excellence in filmmaking at The Las Vegas Film Festival and has been nominated for Best Feature Film, Best Editing and Best Picture at The 2011 Burbank Film Festival.  

Future screenings will take place at the 2011 Mississippi International Film festival and the 2011 New Orleans Film Festival in mid-October. More dates and screenings TBA.

Laci Kay Biography: Born in Tyler Texas and the youngest of four children, Laci has been performing since she was in the first grade.  A move to California lead to an introduction to a Talent Agent and is also a talented singer not unlike Christina Aguilera who she met while on the set of the music video "Hurt" when she played the young Christina. She has been interviewed by Lewis Marklin Mash for "ICON News" and appears in episodes of the TV Series Ms. Vampy's Tween Tawk, Teen Tawk, & In Between Tawk" with Brooke Lewis. She lives with her parents in Ventura, California.

Laci Kay can also be seen in her starring role as Olivia in the SAG short film "Olivia". This film was  written and directed by Ana Garcia Abad from New York Film Academy and will screen at Warner Bros. Studios on September 16, 2011.
