Barkley Square Opens Pet Spa in Old Town

Sept. 10, 2011 - PRLog -- Barkley Square Professional Pet Services & Gourmet Dog Bakery opened a new grooming facility in the heart of Old Town at 133 S Peyton St.  The noted Alexandria pet care company will be sharing space with Paws, Purrs & Exotics Animal Hospital.  

The Barkley Square Pet Spa will offer unique grooming services to both dog and cat owners.  Services offered include the Deluxe Pampered Groom, Splash-N-Dash, and Groom & Go.  The pet care company says it is responding to an overwhelming demand for grooming services among its broad client base in Northern Virginia, Washington, DC, and Southern Maryland.

Kristina Robertson, owner of Barkley Square, commented, “We are super-excited about offering this new service on behalf of Barkley Square.  Grooming has been on our list as a potential offering for quite some time and, thanks to our partnership with Paws, Purrs, and Exotics, we are now able to provide these fabulous spa services.  Our goal is to provide a pampering environment that combines top-notch professional grooming with a spa atmosphere.  We think it will be a big hit!”

The Barkley Square Pet Spa is operating on a part-time basis currently, taking clients Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.  Robertson said she is hoping to go to a full-time basis starting in late October.
