Shurhold® Industries Helps Support Battles Against Lymphoma and Pediatric Brain Tumors

Sept. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- (Palm City, Florida) – During the months of September and October, Shurhold Industries will help raise money to support the battles against lymphoma and childhood brain tumors. Shurhold Industries president Barry Berhoff has announced that the company will donate $5 for each customer that places an order with the company during these two months. Plus, any customer who makes an additional donation, will have their contribution matched by Shurhold Industries up to another $10.

"We view everyone who works for Shurhold Industries as members of our family," explained Berhoff. "So the two great causes we have chosen to support are ones that hit close to home because of tragedies that have occurred to members of our company's family."

During September Shurhold Industries will donate to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). Shurhold is helping support a team at this year's "Light the Night Walk" in Chicago to be held on September 25. LLS has invested over $750 million in blood cancer research since 1949. The organization provides information and support services to patients, family members and caretakers at no cost.

For the month of October, Shurhold will help support brain research being conducted by Dr. Stewart Goldman. Dr. Goldman is one of the nation's leading pediatric neuro-oncologists through Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago. He is also the director of the Center for Clinical Trials Research for the Children's Memorial Research Center and an associate professor of pediatrics at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. In addition, Dr. Goldman serves as a director of the Falk Brain Tumor Center at Children's Memorial Hospital, one of the world's leading centers for pediatric brain tumor diagnosis and treatment.
