Sept. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- On October 8 and 9, join residents of and visitors to Flagler County under the majestic oaks at Princess Place Preserve for the Seventh Annual Creekside Festival, an annual tradition that celebrates the natural beauty of Northeast Florida.

Held on the stunning shores of Pellicer Creek, the Creekside Festival has become one of the most popular festivals around, attracting more than 17,000 visitors in 2010. The draw? Family-friendly activities including live bluegrass music, kayak tours, arts and crafts vendors, a photo contest and exhibition, a delicious variety of food vendors, activities for the kids and much more in a picturesque natural setting.

Rebecca DeLorenzo, Executive Vice President said, “The Creekside Festival is one of our favorite events. This year, we have an exciting line up of bluegrass bands over two days, great food, arts and crafts vendors, the annual photography contest and exhibition and fun activities for the kids.”

The Flagler Homebuilder’s Third Annual Flagler Green Expo will once again be part of the Creekside Festival, bringing with it hundreds of environmentally conscious guests eager to learn about green products and services. This year, the Expo will include a special kids’ section with interactive and fun activities for a nominal fee. For information about the Flagler Green Expo, call 386.445.9399.

The amateur photography exhibit takes on a new theme this year with “Flagler at Work.” Flagler County businesses are invited to open up their businesses to photography students from Flagler Palm Coast High School and Matanzas High School. Students will visit businesses during September to capture shots of “Flagler at Work”-- from offices and manufacturing to auto repair and retail. Photographs will be judged, winners selected and entries displayed at the Princess Place Lodge during the festival. If you would like your business to participate, please contact Rebecca DeLorenzo at 386.437.0106.

Vendor space is still available. Contact Christine Gardner at the Chamber before September 16 for an application.

To reduce traffic coming into the festival, the Chamber will presell $3 parking passes that can be picked up at the Chamber between September 12 and October 7. There will be two lanes to enter the festival off Old Kings Road -- one for prepaid passes and the other for day-of event-admission. Your patience with volunteers at the main gate is appreciated. These students participate in Matanzas High School’s Legacy House Service Learning Group, and the Chamber donates a portion of event proceeds to their program.

The best way to enjoy Creekside Festival is to come early and stay late! The highest traffic count is between 11 AM and 1 PM, so why not come at 10 AM and stay through lunch? This year’s festival will be worth the effort. The Creekside Festival will be open from 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, October 8 and from 10 AM to 4 PM on Sunday, October 9.

Be sure to join Flagler County for one of the area’s favorite events, the Seventh Annual Creekside Festival.
