International Workshop Explores Expanding Avenues of Growth for Latin Business Enterprises

Leaders in Multinational Latin Companies Join Together for an International Workshop, Sharing Their Views On the Optimistic Outlook for Latin Businesses in the Global Arena

Sept. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- For the first time, gathering together a “Who’s Who” of important global Latin business leaders, the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and DIAGEO will sponsor an international workshop: “From Multi-Latin Businesses to Global Latin Enterprise”.  The current rise of Global Latin Enterprise began with Multi-Latin Businesses operating regionally; the first step to becoming global entities.

The event will be held on Sunday, Septfember 18, 2011 at the Fontainebleau Hotel Miami Beach, Florida from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.  The workshop and panel discussion is planned in association with the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's 32nd Annual Convention and Business Expo. The select group of panelists will include CEOs as well as owners of multimillion-dollar U.S. Latin Business Enterprises.

The workshop is a unique, high-level educational experience that will highlight the growing strength and global presence of Latin business enterprises. According to featured guest, Miguel Perez, Economic Affairs Officer the United Nations Economic Commission on Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the Latin American outgoing Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) 2009-2010, quadrupled to $43.1 billion and the inflow of FDI grew by 40% to $112.6 billion.

The panel discussion will cover many diverse topics from the viewpoint of the panelists’ expertise.  Included in the panel will be:  Renato Ferreira, President of Lobraus and creator of the Montevideo HUB Alliance; Emilio Estefan, well known promoter of Latin American musicians; Ana Cristina Reymundo, Director-Editor of American Airlines Nexos Magazine and Patricia Moore, a Texas Spirit Award winner, advocate of  opportunities available for small businesses.

In cooperation with the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and DIAGEO, this year’s forum is organized under the patronage of American Airlines Nexos Magazine and Sentrum International Corporation. Other entities promoting the workshop are the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Promexico, Proexport, the U.S. Mexican Chamber of Commerce as well as Consulates of several Latin American countries.
