Follow on Google News | U.S. Chamber and RecruitMilitary to Present Veteran Hiring Event in Cincinnati on September 22The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the military-to-civilian recruitment firm RecruitMilitary will collaborate on a hiring event for military veterans at Paul Brown Stadium, home of the Cincinnati Bengals, on Thursday, September 22.
The RecruitMilitary- On March 24, the U.S. Chamber had already launched “Business Steps Up: Hiring Our Heroes,” a year-long effort to help veterans and their spouses find employment by means of veteran hiring events. The U.S. Chamber has scheduled more than 100 Hiring Our Heroes events across the nation through March 2012. Already signed up to exhibit at the Cincinnati event are ATech Training Inc., Beckfield College, Brown Mackie College, Cincinnati VA Medical Center – Mobile Unit, DeVry University, Express Scripts Inc., Farmers Insurance, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), FedEx Ground, Grand Canyon University, Intelligrated, The Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Miami-Jacobs Career College, Milacron Inc., Nationwide Insurance, New Horizons Computer Learning Center, New York Life, Nextage Realty International, Northern Kentucky University, Ohio Center for Broadcasting, Prudential Insurance Company, Qualex Manufacturing, Roto-Rooter, Sallie Mae, Scherzenger, Service Express, Sonshine Commercial Cleaning, Standard Textile, Strayer University, The Kroger Company, The Longaberger Company, Toyota Motor Engineering and Manufacturing North America, Transducers Direct LLC, Union Institute and University, Verizon Wireless, and Xavier University. RecruitMilitary will produce 12 additional Hiring Our Heroes/RecruitMilitary Veteran Opportunity Expos in 2011—on October 6 in Pittsburgh, October 13 in Phoenix, October 20 in Atlanta and Kansas City, October 27 in Jacksonville, November 3 in Philadelphia and Seattle/Tacoma, November 10 in Dallas, November 17 in Charlotte and Norfolk, December 1 in San Diego, and December 8 in Houston.
