Rinox Pavers Supports The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk

Sept. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- Rinox Pavers, LLC, manufacturer of concrete paving stones and retaining wall systems, has selected The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to be a beneficiary of its Rinox Cares program for 2011. As part of this ongoing effort, Rinox has created a team that will participate in this fall’s regional Light The Night® Walk to be held at the Philadelphia Museum of Art on October 22, 2011. The team has set its fundraising goal at $20,000 for this LLS event and is confident it can meet or exceed this mark. Rinox Pavers welcomes all members of the community to join its team and will be providing a complimentary Team Rinox t-shirt to all team walkers at the event. The Rinox Cares program was founded as an opportunity to give back to selected organizations and charities, through various fundraisers and product campaigns that are designed specifically for the individual recipient. Rinox selected LLS as this year’s charity due to being both impressed with the clear purpose and proficiency in which the organization operates, as well as Rinox’s employees’ own personal experiences with blood cancers.

The Philadelphia Light The Night Walk provided the ideal event to launch this year’s fundraising efforts. The downtown Philadelphia location is convenient to Rinox’s employees and their network of authorized dealers and certified preferred contractors, since the company’s factory and corporate headquarters are located in nearby Douglassville, PA. At the Walk, teams of families, friends, co-workers and local and national corporations come together to raise funds for LLS and bring help and hope to people battling blood cancers. During the leisurely walk, walkers carry illuminated balloons - white for survivors, red for supporters and gold in memory of loved ones lost to cancer - thousands of walkers - men, women and children - form a community of caring, bringing light to the dark world of cancer.

In the coming months, Rinox plans on expanding the Rinox Cares program to include specially designated products from its line of pavers, walls and masonry, of which a percentage of sales would be contributed directly to LLS.
